Kartik falls for Ashima at first sight. As their friendship unfolds into love and embellished into marriage. He fulfilled his promise to love but at same time his relationship with his parents was in state of turmoil but something unfortunate happened. The plot of the story leaves you with tears.The twist of the story was definitely shocking. Author has beautifully described the emotions of different characters in different relations.Relationship between Kartik's dad and Kartik is also very relatable.The pace of the story is well maintained. It switches between past and present which helps to switch between emotions of love and grief.Kartik dream was to become an engineer but his love for Ashima feared him of losing his only love. Kartik's choice of taking arts broke his relationship with his father and his only dream of seeing his son turn an engineer.
But Kartik and Ashima knew that their love for each other was true so they kept firm on their decision and later married each other. Soon Ashima was expecting her first child but there were some complications. Kartik called his parents to come and help his wife in such a crucial phase. Later ,The child was born but as we know that life is unpredictable , something happened that made their Happy life take a u turn. This book is highly recommend to all those who are reading this review.
