NAME- CHIRANJIVI: THE BEGINNING
AUTHOR- VASANT KALLOLA
RATING- 9/10
Chiranjivi by Vasant Kallola is a fantastic book. The book is setup at the time of Mahabharata. Ashwatthama (Chiranjivi) is given a curse to roam around with a scar because of removal of the gem from his head. The story moves 1000s of years after the curse is given to Ashwatthama. The curse would last as long as life will exist on the Earth. To be free from the curse, Ashwatthama decides to devastate the existence of humans on the Earth. The story has so many twists and turns to keep the reader engaged. There was a village boy namely, Govind, whose father was killed by Ashwatthama, to take the revenge Govind decides to stop Ashwatthama from harming the humans. The book is full of adventures and kept me hooked till the very last page. To know whether Govind would be able to stop Ashwatthama or not, you should just go for this book. The author has written this book in an easy understand language. All the characters in the book are described impeccably and this book is spectacular from all the aspects. Overall, it's a nice book and is recommended to all the mythology readers. I'm quite sure that this book won't let you down.
